Escrow, explained

The money is there before the game starts

Escrow means the money is set aside with Dazz up front. Nobody can spend it while the work is being done, and it only moves when the agreed result is approved.

1. Funded

The organizer or sponsor puts the money into escrow.

2. Held

It is locked. You can see it is there, but nobody can spend it.

3. Approved

The result is confirmed, or the deliverable is accepted.

4. Paid

The money lands in the winner's or creator's wallet.

No self-release

The person being paid can never release escrow to themselves.

Disputes freeze it

If something goes wrong, raise a dispute. The money stays frozen until Dazz staff decide.

Refunds when it is called off

A cancelled tournament or deal sends what is still held back to the people who paid it in.

Fees and limits

Simple, upfront pricing

Opening an account is free. You only pay a small fee when money comes in from, or goes out to, your bank, mobile money, card or crypto wallet. The fee is always shown before you confirm.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Still unsure? Create a free account and look around: the demo uses test money only.

What is a Dazz ID, and how is it different from my account number?

Your Dazz ID (like DAZ-PLY-48213) is who you are: share it so teams, organizers and sponsors can find you. Your 10-digit account number is where money is sent. Payments always go to the account number, so a look-alike name can never receive your money.

Is my prize money really safe?

When an organizer funds a prize pool in escrow, the money is set aside before the tournament starts. Players can see the prize is funded before they enter, nobody can spend it while it is held, and every move is recorded. It is released to the winners once results are confirmed.

What happens if a tournament is cancelled?

Entry fees and anything still held in escrow go back to the people who paid them in. Money that was already released for finished work stays with whoever received it.

How do I withdraw my money?

Choose bank transfer, MTN MoMo, M-Pesa, card or USDC, confirm with your 4-digit PIN, and the money is on its way. The fee is shown before you confirm. Only money in your available balance can be withdrawn, never money still held in escrow.

Can I have more than one account type?

Yes. For example, a player who also streams can open a creator account. Each account type has its own Dazz ID, wallet and dashboard.

Which countries can use Dazz Wallet?

Dazz Wallet starts in Nigeria, with Ghana, Kenya, South Africa and more African countries next. Balances are in Nigerian naira (₦).

Who can see my transactions?

Only you, the people you give access to (like members of your team), and the other side of each payment. Dazz staff can review accounts to keep them safe, and every staff action is recorded.
